Product Manager

 

Description:

The Product Manager plays a key role in building the product roadmap, feature set, and market success for specified product offerings. This position will combine knowledge of the competitive marketplace with customer demand and internal company needs to create and continually improve a highly functional and competitive product, to meet monthly product sales goals.

The Product Manager is responsible for driving the product through the execution cycle, including gathering product requirements, defining product vision, creating preliminary design concepts, managing the product through development, working with internal stakeholders to roll out the product, and ensuring the product is effective in the marketplace on an ongoing basis.

 

Responsibilities:

  • • Maintain an understanding of market trends and technologies that impact the product offering.
  • • Increase online product purchase by managing and optimizing the product storefront against consumer purchase behavior.
  • • Work with customers, sales teams, and services teams to identify, articulate, and prioritize customer needs and market requirements.
  • • Participate in release planning process to determine contents of each release.
  • • Drive a cross‐functional feature team with the following objectives: writing the functional requirements and create product prototypes, working with the development, quality assurance, and stakeholder teams through delivery of the feature.
  • • Work collaboratively with product and corporate marketing teams to develop marketing plans, positioning, core messaging, differentiators, presentations, demos and sales tools to support the launch of new products and new product features.
  • • Lead internal rollout plan and sales training efforts for new product releases.
  • • Understand pricing for the product and ensure the organization is trained to sell and support according to the product pricing and packaging.

 

Requirements:

  • • Bachelor’s Degree, 3‐5 years in product management. MBA a plus.
  • • Experience with consumer e‐commerce products and web‐based software products.
  • • Demonstrated record of success in defining and launching innovative successful products & features.
  • • Knowledge and exposure to top social media sites and social media marketing.
  • • Analytical and problem solving skills – translating competitive analysis, market trends, and technology trends into product strategy & requirements.
  • • Experience with business analytics on web‐based metrics to improve and optimize product purchase and online conversions.
  • • Experience in gathering product feedback directly from customers; comfortable dealing with customers in a professional setting.
  • • Strong oral and written communication skills focused on listening, pacing and influence.
  • • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • • Ability to work in a fast‐paced, collaborative entrepreneurial environment to produce quality work and meet strict deadlines.
